We met Janne and Petteri from Revenant at a beer festival in their home country of Finland in 2024. To say they are the most exciting and interesting story to come through in the world of beer in the last 18 months might just be an understatement. Established at the end of 2023 their attention to craft detail has been making huge waves in all the right places. Perfect for them, given their mission to thrill even the most discerning beer drinkers.
When we first talked about what good would look like for the guys at Revenant the brief was pretty simple. They wanted some global traction with the right importers for their fledgling brand ahead of a headline appearance at Hop City in May 2025. The stakes were high for them as they had just signed a larger scale contract brewing agreement following a successful launch with smaller scale production. For us this meant that there was a LOT of beer to get out across the world, but reputation management and commercial longevity was majorly important too. How to establish the most exciting new hype brand but make sure that repeat orders were part of the wider commercial landscape too. No mean feat – but we felt really good about it. Amazing beer, all the right contacts and a team at the brewery who were happy to be guided and advised.
We started working with Revenant in November 2024. Our first brand outside of the UK too! As of September 2025, we have successfully launched them into 14 countries and we’re working on dates for lots more. We have loved the challenge of managing this brands export launch so far. Working with Janne and Petteri on their pricing and strategy in the run up to more proactive work was so interesting as we’d not exported from Europe before. (Generally, it is easier and cheaper than from the UK thanks to Brexit!) Once we’d moved into the selling phase, we have been careful to select the right importers for the brand in each territory. We don’t just want a quick sale; we want to make sure that there’s some good business to be had in the long term. From France to Malaysia and from Singapore to the UK (a first for us - it has always been going in the other direction) it has been a huge success that we are really proud of. More importantly, we LOVE working with the team at Revenant.
Paul and Anj immediately understood the value of our brand and got to work advising us on how we needed to position ourselves in terms of the styles of beers, pricing structure and perhaps most importantly the potential brand building importers that would be right for Revenant. When we met The Craft Agent we only produced 4 different beers for each release, but Paul really helped us to shape and develop those styles for the export market over the last 9 months. We are over the moon that doors have firmly been opened, and Revenant is already pouring in multiple territories throughout Europe and the far east. Our first batch sold out in record time and subsequent batches have been flying out too. What has this meant for us as a business? More repeat orders of course! With more and more territories still coming on board, it is safe to say that working with The Craft Agent has been the best business decision we could have made, and we hope to continue to work with Paul and Anj for the foreseeable future.
